Rubio would have won IA, PA, WI, & probably at least one of MN, NH, CO, or VA. Recall that Trump ran behind GOP Senate candidates in IA, PA & WI and got fewer votes in WI than Romney did.

What Trump proved in WI, MI, and MN is there’s room to grow on the far right, not the center in those states for the GOP. Centrists lose. Right wing populists have a chance.

That’s insaine. Trump drew historically non GOP voters out, either those who voted for Obama, or hadn’t voted in a while. Iowa was titlting right. Rubio would not have. Mabye he flips NH + IA. That’s probably it.
