Think a sales tax is regressive? Wait until you figure out who benefits from student debt forgiveness.

Not to mention those who worked hard to earn scholarships and chose schools that were affordable and did not have to get any student loans.

It’s not a policy argument. But it sure as hell is a political argument and one the “fuck you, pay muh bills!” crowd would do well to consider.

Or, you could repay- With interest- those who made such sacrifices too? A billion here a billion there, what’s the difference, its all printed money anyway.

All those people with worthless degrees don't deserve bailouts. Those with useful degrees (engineers, scientists, doctors, etc.) could be helped by trading debt for service. And for those with law degrees: See Dick the Butcher in Henry VI.

However, "don't bail out people who haven't repaid loans at the expense of the >50% of Americans who never attended college and don't need to bail someone else out with their taxes." Because no matter what Warren says, revenues aren't earmarked.

What about taxpayers who send their kids to private schools? Aren’t they “bailing out” others getting a public education?
