Neither had I. It's such an unusual, clunky phrase that falls so oddly on the ears of Christians, it's fair to wonder why it suddenly appeared across multiple accounts on the same day. If one reasonably assumes no coordination, that suggests a common impulse at work.https://twitter.com/JeremyMcLellan/status/1120115012922675200 …

Sometimes, when people in the same political camp are pushing common messages or language simultaneously, it's logical to assume a coordinated campaign. But when it's not, it illustrates a common thought process.

Yeah doesn't have to be coordinated. 1 person on the left hits the "right" note with their phrasing and it quickly spreads among like minded leftist that also wish to downplay the reality of the attacks. A few influential people retweet or co-opt as their own

🙄 This is such a stupid controversy. Have you all lost your minds? Easter worshippers are Christians who went to worship on Easter Sunday. It’s just an efficient way to say that.

Yeah, and the fact that it's Easter is not irrelevant, as it connotes bigger crowds, and therefore bigger targets for terrorists.

Here’s how you know how absolutely stupid this controversy is —-> Google “Ramadan worshippers”. You’ll get a lot of hits to articles from the BBC to Bloomberg. You guys are shameless in criticizing the “outrage culture” while simultaneously taking it to new heights of absurdity

Pretty sure "Easter worshipers" = "people worshiping on Easter".... what's supposed to be objectionable (or even awkward or whatever) about this phrase? Please clarify. Seriously. I'm a devoted Catholic who spent hours at the Easter Vigil Mass Saturday night. I don't understand
