Sorry some people were raised in families where you were taught to fucking behave in public or face consequences

I hate saying “when I was a kid”. But you’re still young so you can. And you appear to be correct. Is it that parents now so identify with the little ones that any restrictions on them seem like fetters for the adults?

When I was little I knew I’d face retribution if I didn’t mind my manners in public. Today, that doesn’t seem to worry bratty kids. They know there will be little or no punishment.

Yea - beating kids solves all problems. If you're a lazy ass parent who thinks children are nothing more than a consolation prize for having your dick finding a vagina.

I do find that it takes longer for parents to teach kids basic ideas like sitting in place, standing still in a line, inside voice, etc. than it used to. I'm not judging, kids are much better today than in my day, especially as teens. Younger kids are a little less controlled tho

The way it worked when I was a kid was that as a child you were disciplined and beaten or threatened into obedience, but as a teen your parents would lose control of you and you'd get into all kinds of nasty trouble.

raised a couple of kids - teaching them there's a "time and place for everything" works
