Reasonable? Ok. Even more reasonable to assume that the French people are doing everything they possibly can to save one of their most cherished landmarks. Pretty sure they understand how to put out fires in Paris. It’s not like we got a patent on the technology.

Once the fire starts, it’s a tough situation as the thread points out. But they knew that and they’ve know it for many years. Every precaution to prevent a fire would presumably have been taken. This is extreme negligence or an act of terror (as was attempted in 2016).
