Mike Trout is batting .393/.581/1.000 & is on pace for 82 HR, 195 RBI, 179 BB. The Angels are in last place & on pace for 98 losses. Baseball is a team game.

BTW, "pace" is interesting this early just to illustrate how a guy is playing, but not only is Trout playing at a pace above the single season HR, RBI, slugging & OPS records, he's also on pace for 49 HBP, just 2 off the record.

Ron Hunt is second on the single season hit by pitch leaders with 50. Over the 5 seasons from 1894-98, Hughie Jennings was hit by an average of 51 pitches per 162 games, while batting .361. The year he set the record, Jennings had a .472 OBP while drawing 19 walks in 130 games.
