While I'm on the subject of my old mix tapes, a lot went into both how you ordered the songs & how tightly you could make them run together. This one from 1993 had my favorite 3-2-1 ending that ran together like a medley.pic.twitter.com/uOMpXrvCWf

I found my first mix tape, from 1988 or 89 (really half a mix tape, I had Boston's first album on Side 1). A very tentative start, heavy on the Van Halen and yes, there's a Poison song. And too much crossing out.pic.twitter.com/wlah4loKxc
Hot In The City by Billy Idol still holds up as an awesome tune.
I just died of musical whiplash
Looks like one of my old set lists when I got the band back together
Smashmouth on both sides!
That’s a pretty diverse playlist
That's pretty good.
Assuming it's The Band doing "Atlantic City," and not Springsteen.
Thank goodness none of my mixtapes survived. When i was younger I was Casey Casement top 40 on 8 TRACK. When I was older (in the 80s) I had a fancy cassette rig with Dbx noise reduction and a compatible Alpine cassette player in my car. The music was bad. The sound was good.
