Quincy Adams & Van Buren were the 11th & 12th longest-lived presidents, so maybe getting dumped by the voters is good for your health.

Either Biden or Bernie would turn 80 within the first half of their term in office. Only 11 of the 44 men to be president have lived past age 80.

Interestingly, despite improvements in medicine & longevity, the earliest presidents disproportionately lived longer. The 17 presidents to live to be older than Trump is now include all 7 between Washington & William Henry Harrison.

IIRC, the five presidents who lived the longest after their time as President were Carter, Bush 41, Ford, Hoover, and John Adams- all denied second terms (in Ford's case, a term in his own right)
