Constitution does not mention cannons. Clearly framers had no issue with people owning them either.

Cannon were not "arms" of the sort owned by ordinary citizens. Some people owned them, but militia companies frequently depended on them being owned collectively by towns.

There is a better argument that the second amendment ONLY applies to weapons of war and does not apply to the shotgun that Dems pretend to duck hunt with right before election time.
