One of my dad's favorite sayings was "If you don't learn to work with your head, I'm going to make sure you know what it feels like to work with your back." He wasn't joking, either...The man would work me half to death if I didn't perform well scholastically.

Ppl I know- most of which survived wars and the great depression/ came here the RIGHT way didn't complete the 8th grade.. But they learned English and are also by and large some of the smartest ppl this Country has been Blessed to have.
