@shtirlic they’re using FHE instead of SSE, perhaps because they like slowness and complexity? -
@shtirlic it’s also literally the first FHE implementation I’ve ever seen in my life that cites 0 papers -
-
@bascule@shtirlic If you'll settle for the draft, I'll e-mail. Our team is small and and "real artists ship" https://kryptnostic.com/company -
@g33kbeast@shtirlic I’d definitely be curious. bascule@gmail.com

@bascule I was going to ask your opinion on ZeroDB. -
@evanphx ZeroDB seems to live up to its name in that they have zero code -
-
@newmichwill@evanphx do you have a whitepaper on what you’re implementing? -

@bascule how do they work? ZeroDB looks like it generates an index client side, encrypts and sends it to the server, then dl it at query? -
@gcouprie they *should* be using something like http://eprint.iacr.org/2006/210.pdf but aren’t… -
@bascule neither scheme looks like any current PIR system. Kryptnostic makes me think of some manipulation over polynomial interpolation
