@bascule Are you objecting the fact that Bitcoin consensus is probabilistic? Most of it's strengths come from that.... -
@zmanian I object to millions of CPUs cranking away computing hash functions to come to consensus on 10 minute intervals… -
@bascule It's unclear if people would except a view of reality that wasn't supported by a significant thermodynamic commitment. -

@bascule While many aspects of the original Bitcoin implementation were and are subpar, I think proof of work operates as intended. -
