@bascule Per this diff, does fstostr() (no longer?) return a static buffer? If so, where is it freed? And if not, the new code is buggy.

@bascule Turns out they use a circular list (actually, just array, but they use it as circular) of 16 buffers. So all is OK. Sort of.
