@jrecursive I bought an official Windows 8.1 DVD after successfully getting Windows 7 installed off a downloaded ISO. Windows 8 won't boot -
@bascule I went the other way around. Tried 8, it was shit. Went with 7. 8.1 may be better, but being able to boot is a big plus. -
@jrecursive this is all for my mom. She wanted Windows 7. I couldn't get it legitimately anymore, so 8.1 it is, if it will boot o_O -
@bascule So, yeah. I got a legit 7 ISO, installed it. MS said I had to buy the activation code 3rd party. It worked and was legal but ehh. -
@jrecursive I already bought Windows 8.1 :( Might still consider that though, especially if my mom hates 8.1
