@bascule I kinda don’t get it, the txnid is a hash of some data X and the signature is over some data Y that != X?

@nzkoz txnid includes a malleable BitCoin script that says how to deliver the BitCoins. If the script were signed too that'd fix the problem -

@amidvidy there's no reason why the transaction ID couldn't be signed too. The script is what's malleable -
