@fxn clearer notation lets you get up-to-speed more easily on the layers and layers of abstractions

@bascule ahhh, exactly, in general the books I've seen and the Coursera course are just... I couldn't stand it I quit the course -
@fxn well, this is just basic finite field math, but the underlying math/group theory is actually quite involved
