@bascule Also I personally think its a good fit for stuff like sidekiq/redis provided you keep your state in a db with better durability. -

@bascule Fast key/value storage for data that can be rebuilt. There are some situations when manual eviction is preferable to memcache-style -
@mxavier the only difference between Redis and memcached eviction is Redis stores a stale copy on disk, moot if it can be rebuilt -
@bascule Sometimes the set operations and whatnot are handy all other things being equal with memcached. -
@mxavier commands like ZRANGEBYSCORE are one of Redis's few redeeming features
