In case you were confused, the JVM is probably the best managed language runtime for multicore concurrency available today
@tapoueh C is not a managed language, and Azul had the JVM going on 1000 cores before Erlang's BEAM could run on 2

@tapoueh Disruptor is about as close to "the metal" as you can get without using C/C++, even if prevents false sharing with compiler errata
