@bascule Is there an obvious way to deploy without downtime with Puma since it's a single process?

@bascule@livingsocial Any details on the benchmark? -
@goyox86@LivingSocial using JMeter w\ 10 concurrent clients, simple GET request to our main endpoint -
@bascule@livingsocial Sweet! how many unicorn workers? -
@goyox86 just one for the time being. This was the first benchmark I ever did between them. Trying to run the same BM on Linux (was on OS X)

@bascule jruby 1.7? -
@luislavena REE w\ single-threaded mode -
@bascule ree for cow/fork compatible? Wonder how 2.0 gc will help in that scenario. -
@luislavena yes, REE for CoW-friendliness, and our main app is presently 1.8 only. 1.9.3 GC alone would help a lot -
@bascule been using unicorn in some deploys due rolling deploys, need to check puma again :-) -
@luislavena@bascule Got an idea for a really nice rolling deploy setup to add to puma tonight. -

@bascule Wow that’s quite impressive, have only been toying with Puma until now but will set it up for a proper benchmark after hearing that -
@bwerdschinski note that this is 1) on REE 2) single-threaded
