@raggi if this is re: my http gem, you should be able to pass in the Host header yourself and make the actual HTTP request to the IP addr

@bascule if you have any kind of pooling API, yes. Probably not for straight clients -
@raggi why is it problematic for pooling? I was thinking of pooling by (socket class) => (ip/port combo) => (connection) -
