@bascule does this mean that NON-ECC keys don't really provide all that much entropy and are "weak"? I'm not so good at the hard crypto :) -
@typed yes, there are a number of attacks that reduce the effective security level -
@bascule definitely reading up on this, particularly for stuff like SSH/SSL. Trying to keep security tight is like trying to grasp water :( -
@typed tl;dr: don't use 512-bit RSA keys ;) -
@bascule I think I use 4096 just because. But I dislike the idea of 2048 being reduced to 112. -
