@bascule Are Scala and Go really that similar? I've read lots of Scala but never wrote it. ~10kloc of Go written so far.
It's funny how many people would complete "Erlang, Go, and _____" with Node instead of something that's actually similar, like Scala

@tqbf both have multithreaded concurrency: Go's based around CSP and Scala's around actors. CSP and actors are two sides of the same coin -
@bascule The concurrency model seems less important than the type system, but I don't feel I know enough about Scala types to compare. -
@tqbf all four of those languages have pretty substantial differences in their semantics, type systems included
