My guess: they are using Kaspersky as an escape goat when they fucked it up because of "contractors".
I tend to agree with this. Blaming someone/something else is always easier, especially with Kaspersky being the scape goat recently.

Exactly. While the article is a good read,it's also important to not jump to conclusions. Maybe some day, we can have this going.
