Yes, definitely. I had mentioned that also in the conclusion :) Some tools will be used over longer periods of time.

Truth, I wonder how many attackers don’t though, and move onto the next target that may be susceptible to their “core” toolset.

Good question. The better visibility you have of your own network, the easier it will be to defend I believe :)
