This is a third or fourth time I've seen people claiming this. The Federal government already spends hundreds of millions a year on homeless veterans. The VA has a robust homelessness program, including getting off the streets and into housing though HUD/VASH.

Since 2010, something like 800k vets and their families have found stabilized housing through the Federal government. All it takes is Google to verify this.
