Perhaps it would help if those who have legitimate criticisms of Ilhan Omar weren’t lumped together with Islamophobes in order to delegitimize legitimate criticism?

Likewise for people who have legitimate criticisms of Israel not being lumped together with anti-Semites.
-
If you read anything I’ve written on the subject, I clearly agree. However,
#BDS is definitionally anti-Semitic, and so people should be intellectually honest and acknowledge that anti-Israel is at least sometimes simply a contemporary form of anti-semitism. -
always the "however"
-
He’s a Jew lol, we can’t expect them not to act that way.
-
Well that's not antisemitic...
-
You’re right, it’s not anti Semitic to expect a Jew to care about and defend israel, the homeland of their People.

As a Representative in the US Congress her first obligation is to US National Security. It is reckless that
@IlhanMN turned down the opportunity to visit Israel and learn more about US security interests. A responsible Cong. Rep. would want to obtain as much info as she can. -
Check out the POTUS first if you're actually concerned about US "National Security."
-
Every person in the US government is obligated to protect our country. They should all act responsibly, basing their decisions on broad, fact-based analysis. The behaviors on one does not excuse another's.
-
Why should she visit another country to protect the US? In a perfect world she should visit all the countries, but she’s a representative of a district, visiting a foreign country isn’t top 3 in her priorities.
-
Again the POTUS hired General Flynn as National Security Advisor who the FBI, CIA, DOJ said was working for 2 foreign countries without on the DL. So stop with the faux concern about National Security of a US Congresswomen as a threat, total hyperbolic nonsense.

That shouldn't make you nervous unless you think Netanyahu is above reproach. The opposite is true. He's a corrupt warmonger pretending to be ethical. Don't forget he lobbied for invading Iraq as a way to oppose Iran (which is hilariously dumb btw), and pushes propaganda.
-
The way America treats Israel without being able to criticize the horrible government should be a national outrage. Obama was called an anti-Semite just for supporting Bibi's opponent.
-
Obama wasn’t called anything of the sort for his actions in the election. What he did was wrong - it’s akin to Russian interference in our elections. We can’t pretend we are outraged by things we do ourselves.
-
Nonsense. He was publicly having a foreign policy dispute with Netanyahu bc he was undermining Obama's diplomacy. Bibi even came to the Congress to bash him. There was no fucking hacking and cheating by Obama. Claims of anti-Semitism were rampant on Fox News/talk radio.
-
He very literally sent American staff to undermine their campaign and to boost the ability for his opponent to receive votes. How is that NOT interfering?
-
It was public information. Campaign operatives work all over the world. It's common in the West. It's not remotely unethical. The only reason it's seen as such is due to right-wing propaganda that pretends opposing Bibi means anti-Semitism. It's a con like everything else.

I’ve got a massive problem with any administration picking a side in a foreign election - especially if they intend to use tax dollars to assist a candidate. Just as I have a problem with the Israeli firm that Mueller is investigating allegedly boosting Trump. None of it is right
-
Black Cube broke the law repeatedly and harassed people. Again, not remotely similar.
