Does anyone know of any sailing ships returning across the Atlantic via the Azores in March this year? Myself and the team are hoping to return to Europe in the spring without flying, and so any suggestions of ships would be much appreciated! 📷

After Hannah’s internal nest cams revealed a hidiously early visit from one of the tagged adults the night before, it was a relief to capture a tagged bird at the more civilised hour of 10pm last night and reveal a from its foraging excursions!

Wigeoncam hasn't yet lived up to its name... but it was lovely to check the camera and see this cracking Irish hare. More photos like this please!

Big news revealed during today’s check of the artificial nest boxes: our little Ghibli in nest 95 has taken to the skies and left us! Hopefully it’s now fluttering somewhere over the mid Atlantic Ocean, enjoying the freedom of the wide open seas and a feast of squid and Crustacea

There is NOT LONG left to apply for this opportunity on Skokholm. I’d say DO IT! But ONLY if your laughter muscles are ready for the 3-month assault.

The latest report is arriving through members' letterboxes this weekend. Huge team effort, thanks to birders and county recorders across , plus , and ringing schemes for providing a wealth of data. A one-stop-shop of the status of our birds

How close to sea level is the UKs industry, roads, rail, houses, agriculture? Where are we still developing, what are we still blindly doing, as we have done for decades, sticking or fingers in our ears and going “la la la la la, not listening!!”

I honestly couldn't recommend the Young Birders Week enough; not to sound cliché, they changed my life. Now 4 years since my first visit and inspired by it, I'm off to live the dream and work on in 2 weeks.

Audio on 🔈 A taster of the night-time soundscape here at the moment, with Barolo Shearwaters returning most nights after dusk and filling the air over the volcanic cliffs with their wailing cries. I do love seabird colonies at night!

Please help raise funds to repair the access track in Porth Meuddwy, which is THE vital link from the mainland to Bardsey Island and was damaged overwinter. Without this it will be impossible for visitors & residents to visit and work on the island...
