Every other review of Spare I've read - all written by white ppl with no concept of horrors of racism - has criticized Harry for whining. is first reviewer, IMHO, who actually understands what Harry is trying to say. Bravo!

I can't put down SPARE by Harry. "It captivated me from the very first line with a quote from William Faulkner: “The past is never dead. It’s not even the past.” Harry’s reckoning has moved me. But I don’t think he would have embarked on this journey were it not for Meghan..."

"In a way, marrying into the British royal family was the Blackest thing Meghan had ever done... She was a Black woman who didn’t have to identify as Black until she threw herself into one of the whitest institutions on the planet."

On my 2017 England trip: "almost everywhere there was a nonchalant explanation of how this or that uncle murdered this or that young nephew to prevent them from ascending the throne... This was the summer I learned that Game of Thrones is a DOCUMENTARY about the British Empire."

Despite my best efforts to not care, I’m entranced by Harry & Meghan's journey of racial awakening, historical traumas, and exile. Check out my latest piece in where I weave together pop culture, personal history, and #OctaviaButler too!

Absolutely unhinged (in a good way) new episode of the show with complete genius @baratunde. Info crisis, x-files, Tim Cook's pristine self-worth, the tiktok-ification of life on earth... It's all here. You will not be disappointed. open.spotify.com/episode/4QBUjE podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/wha

We have become a culture of "leaders" and "observers". We need "teammates". In every part of our life, where we are not leaders, we just observe. Often complain. How about being a great teammate? Take responsibility for improving things? Resolve to be a great teammate in 2023.

"Like a biological ecosystem, #Twitter held together due to the diversity of species that called it home, but now that balance is forever broken. I should say that in an active voice: Elon Musk has broken that balance, and I don’t think anyone can restore it."

I tried to “crosspost” to an alternative social media site within the bounds of the new decree from Lord Twit, and I was prohibited. Now he’s just doing customer acquisition FOR Post and Mastodon. When you lock the door to keep people at your party, the party is over.

Can’t handle this much free speech. Can’t criticize a billionaire. I can’t post Mastodon links. Can’t post information public info about FAA flights. Nothing happens when I report death threats and rape threats. And I’m assuming my account will get banned any second now.
