And there it is. 13.1 released. First upgrades worked completely flawless.

Oh Switzerland 🇨🇭 now has a law that and other streaming services need to invest a share of revenue in Swiss productions. Let’s wait for the new Heidi then 😅

Preparing to upgrade my boxes to 13.1 release next week. Will test the latest RC on some hardware boxes and then go for the production ones. VMs mostly no problems.

13.1 will be delayed until it’s done and ready. That’s how you do releases of infrastructure software like an operation system. People rely on stable systems. Does not mean there will be no errors left but they do their best to deliver the best they can. Thank you 🙏

Does anyone have a utility to convert LXC containers to FreeBSD compat_linux Jails? Asking for a friend.

Die Person die Ladebalken unter Windows entwickelt hat, ist danach zur weißen Ware gewechselt und hat dort den Timer für Waschmaschinen und Trockner entworfen! Muss eine sadistische Kreatur gewesen sein.

There was a time when you could buy a PC with DOS / Windows or OS/2 or go with a Mac or a Solaris Box. Crazy times. You remember?

I was a very junior Solaris admin. It seemed like a lot of standard unix utilities were sort of broken in the sun distro. Great admins compiled their own and pushed it out to their workstations. FreeBSD, by contrast, was well organized and current. But with no fancy hardware.
