if I tore an old fiver I could tape it together and still use it. Can I use these new ones if I shrink them all in the dryer?

make a fuss but not about the notes! What you're saying is that @bankofengland is killing animals for the notes ... not true

If finding an alternative to animal-derived products is so difficult and expensive, why can't banknotes be coins instead?

i cannot accept notes sourced by cruel means. I will only use the paper notes, or coins. The polymer notes are contaminated.

To appreciate how some people feel about 'extremely small amount' of tallow in notes, try imagining it as human tissue.
