A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.
That sounds good but it has it's negative points. This policy limits the copyright owners what to do with their ownership. So if an sound appears 4seconds on a clip creators cannot monetize it. The law protects every image even for 0.01 seconds so protect what law requires.
