Is anyone else having weird issues with the Japanese version of King Kong vs. #Godzilla transfer? It seems like it goes from 1080 to 480 randomly. For context:

It’s super weird. It started out with only the footage that wasn’t in the American cut, but now the issue seems to be gone after getting a third into the movie

Probably due to having to mix different cuts of the film to get the japanese cut. Like mismatched versions of the film varying in quality. Like unrated cuts for old horror films.

This is, unfortunately, how the Japanese Blu-ray looks. It was assembled from 3 different sources, with one of them being an SD upscale.
