You don’t own “web3.”
The VCs and their LPs do. It will never escape their incentives. It’s ultimately a centralized entity with a different label.

I also disagree here. Twitter started as a protocol, the free speech wing of the free speech party. Then corporate & political incentives led to deplatforming & censorship.
Web3 offers the possibility, not guarantee, of something better.

If you can build a fully decentralized Twitter on top of Bitcoin and Lightning, using only paper equity and without a digital token, go for it.
sphinx.chat is probably the best effort towards this. But it's an important enough problem that we need many approaches.
The problem is you pitch a world of decentralization on web3 but if you just look under the hood they’re anything but decentralized and heavily benefits VCs like a16z. You’re just misleading the public with a bs pitch
