Sliced half my fingernail off while making kale salad two days before my proposal document is due. This is going to be a painful two days.

French Cat says: "A year that is pronounced vin vin... that's something to drink to, don't you think?" 20 is pronounced "vin" in French, which is the same sound as that for the word wine.

So my aunt designs sky-event calendars every year and distributes them to family members on Christmas. Here are the past two.

Hearing Boris recite Ancient Greek with a bastardized Erasmian/British accent must be one of my worst nightmares I didn't know I had.

Submitting a (new) paper to a conference I have been rejected from every year of my graduate career. If that's not masochism I don't know what is.

Systems theory—my main area of research—has a lot of "hidden" category theory. This is precisely the reason why I want to marry the two for safety and security.

I don't think this is a question that should be answered for "software" in particular. It has certainly been answered in other domains and especially safety. The main proposition here is: "Doing *anything* early in the design lifecycle has the highest decision effectiveness"

In Japanese folklore, the 'Mokumokuren' is a ghost born from mistreated sliding paper doors ('shoji'). When the paper becomes riddled with holes, eyes begin to pop out of the holes, watching all that goes on inside of your house
