    People held pretrial on unaffordable cash bail have not yet been convicted of a crime. Words like criminal, inmate, offender, etc. strip away someone’s identity and brand them without any context into their individual situation. That’s why we use people centered language!

    56% of transgender adults are more likely to experience unsheltered houselessness & Nala is no exception. She was arrested & left in a men’s jail unsafe as a trans woman. Luckily we bailed her out & connected her to temporary housing until she found her own place.

    As part of we want to celebrate Peatmoss and their dedication to empowering their community! 🏳️‍🌈After Peatmoss was arrested last summer for protesting, we bailed them out & they were able to go back to their queer collective community where they could truly be free.
