    There is no way a hosting provider (including your private website, if it includes comments section) can comply with these obligations without . It’s not limited to large platforms. The has ignored 100% of the discussion.

    I'm a copyright lawyer and this is my view: We as a society as a whole would be better off with no copyright at all than the copyright laws we have now. And before you start spouting about livelihoods, consider this - who'd hire a copyright lawyer if there's no copyright law?

    They've told Europe: You can have free speech, or copyright, not both. They will be believed. Make people choose, and they'll choose. My fellow artists: you will not like the choice they make. You have made piracy into a form of political protest today.

    If you're interested in game development, buy this book! I learned using second edition which is a bit dated now, but it's absolutely PACKED with information and references that'll teach you how game engines work, and how to squeeze every bit of performance out of your games

    It's finally here! Very positive first impressions. Bonus points for the authors' sense of humor. :-)

    It's 2018. Do you know where your 3rd-party JS is coming from? Any JavaScript that runs on a web page where users' personal data is entered or displayed has full access to that data. And the site owner has full responsibility for keeping it private.

    The attack that stole 380 000 credit card numbers from the users of the British Airways website is very similar to the attack that stole 40 000 numbers from the users of the Ticketmaster website.

    My last employer was bought by Facebook, who made us sign contracts saying we wouldn't talk about what a horrible company they were before firing most of us, but this thread really hits a lot of the high points. Troubling stuff.

    THREAD Does "community" scale to 2.2 billion? Does Facebook make you feel more connected or more isolated? Is their final cause to make money or cultivate community? As a VR journalist, I have lots of thoughts on ' New Yorker profile on Zuckerberg

    Never underestimate the value of games to trick kids into learning valuable life skills! I grew up playing games like Sim ciry, Transport Tycoon, Air Bucks...by the time I was 14 I was doing my parents' finances in Quicken.

    I'll never need to go to business school because like every well-adjusted child I spent the ages 9-11 becoming a mining and smithing pure on runescape. That's all I did. I made armor and I sold it. I had a 9-5 job.
