Yep, Hillary undeniably won in 2016. The primary was rigged though (with the help of superdelegates), which made people upset.

Even if superdelegates weren't a thing she still would have won. There were literally no measures by which Sanders could have won the nomination, which is why he was thinking of trying to get the superdelegates to overturn the popular vote.

I do wish they had separated that question into a superdelegate question and a pledged-delegate realignment question though (Of course that would've defeated the purpose, which was not to bring forward important issues of democratic conduct but to spark drama)
