eye contact is a whole nother ball of wax, consciously thinking about the level of eye contact I'm doing while I'm talking to someone is like consciously breathing

Yeah never works well. You're better off just letting instinct take the wheel, this is what its built for. Same for active listening which is why I said people should channel their energy into what they're trying to emulate

I think my style of active listening is fine? But I didn't know if it was something people objected to more generally. Poll results suggest, most people don't mind
