I want a computer "usage manager" where I specify what apps+sites I'll use in blocks of at least 15min. Ex: [7:15 - 8:00] Evernote, Wikipedia [- 8:30] Airmail, Messages, Slack, Calendar [- 8:45] Twitter [- 9:45] iTerm, Sublime Text Editing the current block isn't allowed.

I use pretty much all of these, what I've seen help a lot depending on the task is literally just print everything out and annotate things physically on paper and then write code having my screen black and white. I always end up unblocking stuff after 6+ hours of work.

also recommend the following chrome extensions to get rid of the Youtube recommendation system: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/df-tube-distraction-free/mjdepdfccjgcndkmemponafgioodelna?hl=en … and Facebook newsfeed eradicator:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/news-feed-eradicator-for/fjcldmjmjhkklehbacihaiopjklihlgg?hl=en …

when not properly rested, tired, or exhausted, it's easier to go on a "quick" break on Youtube and get drawn into their recommendations (because they are pretty good), I have these gets rid of that, comments, the trending tab, everything but just the video and search engine
