basically the point of working at a startup is that you use a shitty rental office where all of the chairs have a unique defect that makes them painful to sit on

I can confidently say I have never sat on an office chair that cost $2000 at a startup in the UK. There is however a whole load of knockoffs and chairs that sort of look like Aeron chairs.

the silicon valley chairs I had at work were around $700 which is a lot more than I had spent for my own chair at home, but it convinced me to buy a much better chair at home
