When obsessed w/ a topic, it feels like half of my creativity is fixed. Like walking around w/ a puzzle piece trying to fit it to everything else Curious: if you can force the topic, which pays off most? Ex: Signaling colors human behavior differently, lots of subjective data

I can't force the topic, tbh. Or at least I have yet to figure out how. I do have both long-ranging interests (practical epistemology, how subcultures function) and short, intense obsessions (usually more aesthetically oriented)

I can't globally pick, but sometimes I have multiple things I'm into and I can choose. Scroll far back in my feed and you'll see me suddenly switch from tweeting @ribbonfarm stuff daily to p2p, for example.
I'm like you, but most of my long-run interests were obsessions first
