I'm not sure this sort of provision ticks any boxes, but it was at least a good opportunity to talk about being aware of the needs of other people..

that's not a cycle lane that's a white line painted on the road - perhaps we need our own 'stop de kindermoord' movement! -
Different solutions for different times I think - simply too convenient to drive and park in our cities and not enough high quality alternatives at the moment. But we will get there!

Our kid's favourite is near a big busy junction near the Commonwealth Pool where the cycle lane just "ends" and you're expected to fend for yourself.

There is no point, that’s the point. Make cycling as unsocial and difficult as possible so as to reduce national cycling numbers. Reducing cycling numbers, then will have a reduction in cyclist injuries and deaths. Win win
