I’ll have a full review of the iPad Mini next week. I dearly love using it but those who are thinking of going from big to small should know it really does have a functional difference in how you use it. It’s not just your iPad, but smaller.

Haven't seen if anybody else reported this but I see when scrolling in portrait mode with a lot of text on the screen there is a small amount of jelly scroll, where one side moves faster than the other. It’s subtle enough that it’s hard for me to film it, but it’s there.

Here is an excellent website you can use to see jelly scroll / scan out lag on your own screens. You can set options for vertical / horizontal and then rotate your phone around. Makes it really obvious.

There is a jelly test at testufo.com/scanskew It seems to occur on the previous iPad Mini 5 but in an orientation 90 degree different from the iPad Mini 6.

Can’t lie I bought and love the iPad mini but am annoyed nearly every day by jelly scroll.

Honestly way more screens do this than you think. I’d recommend actually using it before making that judgement call. I love mine so far. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 120hz of my 12.9 pro - but this isn’t unusual. In fact, my Galaxy Tab S6 has it too!

Maybe. It depends on what is causing it. It could absolutely be hardware driven, but even then software could at least mitigate it.
