Unless you get a scholarship to a 4 year University, why wouldn’t you start at a Community College?
As an instructor at FCC (and former FS lecturer), I can confidently say that our faculty are as knowledgeable and in general better trained in teaching pedagogy than the faculty at any four-year institution

I remember when I was at FCC being inundated in summer with (priority) FS students, who preferred taking some classes (like math/science) with FCC professors.

My time at city was the best. Better teachers, more interesting classes, better time slots. Teachers willing to actually listen to me! I had to take the same classes over again at fs so could directly compare them.
