    Returning to reiterate this. These people helped put me back together when I feared I was irreparably broken. I don't want to call out particular names, but certain colleagues saved me.

    Actually, that's a lie. Going to deviate to say something since I've been privately messaged by people worried about supporting abusive folk. The current crew at is one of the kindest, most compassionate teams I've worked with in my life.

    he was still the CEO and had (I thought) my career in his hands. He had always seemed popular and powerful in the industry, and I feared he could get me blackballed.

    When Alexis left the company, he asked for reconciliation, stating that he 'didn't want to do anything out of hurt or spite'. I took this to be a threat against my person or my career, and decided to protect both by keeping quiet.

    that I would not be able to get work anywhere else in the industry. I had to work alongside Alexis and that colleague till he left, and then her till she left. I made nice and pretended it wasn't awful as best I could, because even once he was no longer my line-manager,...

    I was shouted at and sworn at in front of colleagues; I was given opportunities – only to have my work belittled. I was kept anxious and uncertain. I was made to feel that my only recourse was to leave the company, but...

    I had to request he stop being my line-manager afterwards, though even then he was my manager's manager, and CEO. His attitude towards me and my work changed the moment I was no longer his partner.

    During our relationship he cheated on me with people brought to company events, and who were wanting to work with the company. He broke up with me by messaging me that he'd cheated on me with a colleague (also his direct report) at the office Halloween party.

    An anon account has been naming abusers in the games industry. Alexis Kennedy is one of them. I can't speak to the motives of the anon, but Alexis is a well-known predator in the games industry. I have been warning people about him for years.

    I have felt enormous shame for not seeing AK's abuses towards others sooner. I felt humiliated for percieving an older man's interest as professional when - in hindsight - it wasn't. How embarrassingly naive! But the shame and humiliation belong to him, not to me.

    A lot of abused people are going to find twitter impossible to look at today, because they have their own stories they haven't yet dared tell. Or they tried to, weren't believed, and have career ending threats hanging over them. Give those you know some support
