Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa as a knight's tour on a 32x32 chessboard. I drew the tour with varying edge thicknesses. I obtained the tour by using to find a high quality solution to a discrete optimization problem.

My friends George Hart and Elisabeth Heathfield made this laser-cut jigsaw-puzzle portrait of me for the Bridges 2020 Exhibition of Mathematical Art (link to follow). They sent me a copy, and I finally put it together yesterday. I love the puzzle and its title: Bob/(1+|Bob|).

Here is an 32x32 knight's tour that resembles Frankenstein's monster. About the "inset": if we remove the two edges that "cross the cut" from the inset to the rest of the graph and then connect the degree-1 vertices that lie within it, we'll get an 8x8 knight's tour.

My son’s art project this week. Pick a piece of art that has impacted you and reproduce it. This is what I am fighting for! Justice, peace, understanding, opportunity - for him and for everyone like him.
