We've got a new paper in eLife! Alpha/beta power tracks the fidelity of neural representations - a greater power decrease means better representation. We replicate this effect during visual perception, auditory perception, and memory recall. Check it out!

New year, new preprint! We disentangle neocortical alpha/beta and hippocampal theta/gamma in episodic memory. NC desync. peaks during info. representation while hipp. sync. peaks during mnemonic binding . Thanks to !

“The people of this country must never again be asked to navigate a maelstrom of misinformation in order to decide who will govern them.” We’re on the side of truth. We are calling for an end to the lies. The deception. The fakery. we are knocking on your door.

Check out our paper! We show neocortical alpha/beta power decreases precede hippocampal gamma power increases during episodic memory formation, but this is reversed during retrieval with hipp. power increases preceding neocortical alpha/beta decreases.

Check out our new paper in ! and I discuss how hippocampal theta-gamma coupling may underpin our ability to maintain representations of ongoing events while encoding/integrating these representations as complex event memories.

Very happy to share our new paper with and collaborators! We show that commonly reported oscillatory power changes in iEEG and MEG during memory encoding cannot be explained by a simple shift of the tilt of the power spectrum
