we’re omnivores. our bodies are made to take and break down meat. that’s why it does it.

If that was true it wouldn't lead to heart disease and myriad other health complications. We don't have claws, we don't have fangs, our digestive track is too long (meat becomes putrid), etc. We are not built by evolution to be omnivores, humans do best on a plant based diet.
