Why the fuck would Stephen Hawking still be in a wheelchair in Heaven? He wasn't born with ALS and it was a crippling disease that I'm sure he would've been happy to be free of. Why do you people think like this? Why do you fetishize disease?
ALS is a disease. There's nothing arbitrary about defining ALS, a neurodegenerative condition which leads to paralysis and death, as a disease. The cyborg thing is apples to oranges. Why is it important to respect a neurodegenerative condition as a way of being?
