I start to lose grip strength and have to use hook grip and chalk after about my 6-8th rep @ 90% 1RM. I should probably start taking beta-alanine. I refuse to use alternating grip though, even if it does slow me down a little. I want a balanced body.

No. I refuse. If I cannot lift it with an overhand grip, then I am not worthy. That is my mindset. The most I will do is use chalk.

I'd rather have a balanced body that's less prone to injury. I'm interested in functional strength over impressive numbers. Plus, I'm growing pretty fast anyway.
